With over 10 years experience in the property sector managing commercial assets for funds, property companies and developers. I previously led on property repositioning, delivering brand and destination strategies for a global client base, and pivoting underperforming spaces to realise their full potential. I joined JOLIE after working with them as a client. I loved their design ethos and unique approach to interiors - they always stood out against competitors and I was delighted to join to drive business growth for the team.
I now work closely with all of JOLIE's clients throughout the project life-cycle, to ensure the service we provide is the best it can be and that they are getting true return on investment.
I really resonate with JOLIE’s design approach. The research work we do with neuroscientists and time we spend looking into the demographic adds real context and substance to our designs. We are at a really lovely point now where we can see the success of our approach too. The spaces that the JOLIE team designed 7 years ago are still fresh, current, purposeful and most importantly really well used.
When I was younger I always wanted to work on the airline check in desks … I love going on adventures and exploring new places so definitely the travel industry but perhaps not stuck inside an airport!
I love mornings in our newly renovated Manchester Studio, the atmospheric lighting, smell of fresh coffee and our curated playlist brings a feeling of serenity and focus which I just love. The people - I am surrounded by the most creative and friendly colleagues who make working at JOLIE a real joy.
I am really enjoying being involved in our new Cotswold Hotel project - a Grade II Listed Manor House. The hotel is full of character in the most beautiful setting - I cannot wait to see the team work their magic on this one!
Definitely a beach hut style resort in sunny climes - I love being by the sea and would love to see how the team would incorporate the outdoors to the interiors. I have very fond memories of staying in a place like this when I was younger and thought it was magical.
As I work on the Commercial side I am not as immersed as the designers themselves, but they inspire me more and more with each project. I love seeing the research pieces they do taking inspiration from amazing places around the globe.
I am personally inspired by my Grandma & my Mum, we all share a love of Art and have visited lots of galleries together over the years (and my Grandma has the most incredible wardrobe - she spent a lot of time in India and her eye for textiles and patterns is quite something).
I have just come back from Copenhagen and I couldn’t get over how much pride they take in design from architecture and interiors down to curation of menus and presentation of food. The whole experience was flawless.
I just love Ancoats - Erst for food and wine is a delicious treat or you can’t beat Edinburgh Castle for a cosy winter drink.
Go for it! I have always loved working within the built environment industry which spans across so many sectors, so even if you are not specifically Interiors focused like myself, there are lots of opportunities to be involved in this inspiring line of work.
